Back in 2007 I thought I’d like to write a “Family History”. Things got completely out-of-hand. Bernard Selling launched me into a writing style I enjoy and this blossomed into a conglomeration of stories that scattered all over the map.
My “Family History” became a series of histories ranging from “Just Me” to “Adult Me” to all the ‘families’ in my life.
Joining a Writing Club provides both the incentive and the motivation to continue in this pursuit and these past nine years have resulted in a legacy that I hope will be meaningful to some but, on the other hand, the quest in itself has been an exciting adventure. The critiquing of one’s writings within a writing group creates a unique companionship with the fellow members of the club.
